Meditation, philosophy, and these new ways to get to God, they are nothing more than ancient occultism, masked as a new and helpful way to achieve an empty mind and be unburdened to connect with Christ…..chanting yoga chants, etc…., these are evil….but we are told they are ways to free our minds.

1 Tim 4:2 Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;
1 Tim 4:3 Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats*, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
These apostasies are happening right before our eyes, the church is surrounding herself in them…..Jude, the book before The Revelation of Jesus Christ, he was “compelled to write us, to contend for the faith which was once entrusted to God’s Holy people!” He goes on to write about people who have slipped in long ago, seducers, liars, deceivers.

I’m concerned that you are so deeply engaged with the emergent ways that you may lead some individual who doesn’t know Christ yet down the wrong path. It’s our responsibility as Christians to expose this type of false teaching which is coming from the emergent community.

The emergent false doctrine is destroying the Nazarene denomination and I hate to think how my grandparents would react if they saw such nonsense going on if they were still alive. (family history with the denomination since it’s beginning roots)

I really don’t purport to be anything more than I am. I’m a seeker who has a lot of questions, and I’m just trying to find my way in a world that is really big and really complicated.

I’ve never said I know more about the Bible than Manny (although we are both laymen) or anyone else. This disagreement isn’t about knowing more or less, its about what to do with what we know.

You also need to humble yourself and quit acting like you have some higher degree of knowledge on Scripture over others that are acting as Watchmen on the wall. Warning the sheep of the deception coming from the emergent crowd.
